Who we are

About Our Organisation

Domkal Diganta Welfare Society is a grassroots non-profit organisation working in rural and semi-urban Maharashtra. Since 2015 we have been walking alongside marginalised families — providing children with education, women with livelihoods, and elderly members of the community with dignity and care.

What began as a small group of twelve friends distributing books and school bags has grown into a movement of more than eight hundred volunteers working across sixty-four villages. We believe lasting change happens when communities lead it themselves, and every programme we run is designed to put local leadership at its centre.

What Drives Us

Mission, Vision & Objectives

We measure ourselves not by what we announce, but by what changes on the ground.

Our Mission

To empower underprivileged communities through accessible education, quality healthcare, vocational skills and sustainable livelihoods — so that every child learns, every woman earns, and every family lives with dignity.

Our Vision

A self-sustaining rural community where no child is denied an education, no mother is denied a livelihood, and no family is left behind — led by the people it serves.

Our Objectives

Practical, measurable steps we commit to every year — reviewed quarterly by our board and published in our annual impact report.

Compassion We act on need, not on convenience.
Integrity Every rupee is accounted for and published.
Dignity We work with people, never for them.
Partnership Communities lead; we support.
Learning We measure, review and improve.

Testimonials

Voices From The Community

What the families, students and volunteers say about working with us.

“Before this society found us, my daughters had dropped out of school. Today the elder is in secondary school and I run a small tailoring unit from my home. I am no longer dependent on my husband's income.”

Sunita Jadhav Sunita Jadhav Mother of three, Wardha

“I joined as a volunteer to help with a blood donation camp. Seven years later I coordinate our entire mobile health programme. When you see a family get treatment because you arranged the camp, you never go back.”

Ramesh Patil Ramesh Patil Volunteer since 2017

“The after-school tuition centre is where I learned to code. I am now in my first year of engineering, and I volunteer at the same centre every Sunday.”

Anjali Deshmukh Anjali Deshmukh Student, Class 12

“The vermicompost training gave us a monthly income that did not depend on the monsoon. Our whole household is better off because of it.”
